GORVIA H308NR Neutral Silicone Gasket Maker is a one-component, room temperature curing silicone sealant, also known as RTV silicone sealant, gasket maker, specially designed to replace the traditional gaskets (such as paper gaskets, rubber gaskets, metal gaskets) to form an oil-resistant, high-temperature, pressure-resistant elastic sealing layer between metal flange surfaces of automobiles, motorcycles, machinery and equipment.

Application

Method of Application

1. Remove old residue, degrease thoroughly, and inspect flange flatness.
2. Cut the nozzle tip diameter ≈ 1/3 of the bolt diameter, at a 45° angle for better sealant flow control.
3. Apply a continuous, closed bead of sealant approximately 3-5mm. Maintain a bead diameter ≤3mm (widen to 1.5 times of the diameter for oil/water service). Double the bead application at critical areas like corners.
4. Align bolt holes and lightly press flanges together immediately after sealant application. Complete assembly swiftly.
5. Tighten bolts in the sequence and to the torque values specified by the manufacturer. Typically, tighten from the center outwards in a crisscross pattern to ensure even pressure distribution and prevent flange distortion.
6. Scrape off excess sealant before it cures. Allow 24~48 hours curing time before system operation.
