GORVIA N302JA Neutral Structural Silicone Sealant
GORVIA N302JA is a one-component, moisture-curing, high-performance silicone structural sealant, which, due to its excellent durability, bond strength and elasticity, is commonly used in structural bonding assemblies for architectural curtain walls (glass, metal panels, stone, etc.) to permanently bond and fix panels to frames, as well as to provide a seal. It can also be used in other industrial fields where high strength and long-term durability are required.
1.Small curtain wall projects (building height less than 15 meters and area less than 1,000 square meters) should be filled and weather-sealed.
2.Caulking and sealing of indoor and outdoor decoration projects.
3.Install glass and anti-seepage seals on the frame edges of building doors and windows.
4.Many other construction and industrial uses.
1. Confirm design specifications: Verify joint dimensions (width, depth), location, and profile shape per design drawings/specifications.
2. Prepare materials: compatible and validated cleaning solvent, lint-free white cloths, masking tape, smoothing tools, and the appropriate caulking gun.
3. Use one solvent-dampened lint-free white cloth to remove contaminants on substrates, wipe solvent residues with a second cloth. The surface must be completely free of oil, dust, moisture, fingerprints, etc. Do not touch cleaned surfaces.
4. Apply primer (if required): For specific substrates requiring primer, apply strictly according to the manufacturer's instructions.
5. Primer must be completely dry before applying sealant. Wet primer severely compromises adhesion!
6. Apply making tape neatly along both edges of the joint.
7. Load cartridge into gun. Cut nozzle tip to match required joint width. Hold nozzle at ~45° to the substrate. Move gun steadily to fill the joint continuously, fully, and uniformly, ensuring contact with both substrates and avoiding bubbles. For deep joints, fill in two times if necessary. The applied strips should be slightly higher than the substrate surface.
8. Before surface curing, smooth the sealant strips using a suitable tool dipped in solvent (or soapy water per manufacturer). Compress and smooth the surface in one pass at ~45° to achieve the specified profile (flat or concave for drainage) . Carefully remove the masking tape before surface curing.
9. Support and protect joints from impact, stress, vibration, or load during curing. Shield joints from rain, dust, and chemicals, especially early on. Low temperature/high humidity significantly extends cure time. Absolutely DO NOT remove supports or apply load until fully cured to design strength!
10. Check joints for continuity, fullness, free of bubbles/cracks, and good adhesion. Perform adhesion tests (pull-off tests) if necessary.
11. Keep out of reach of children.
