Application

Method of Application

1. Thoroughly clean the substrate, removing all debris including dust, oil, form release agents, laitance, loose particles, moss, and mildew. 2. Pre-treat defects like uneven surfaces and cracks to ensure the substrate is solid and level. 
3. The substrate must be dry, possess adequate strength (meeting national standards), and be free from dusting, powdering, hollow spots, or looseness.
4. Reinforce key details such as internal/external corners, pipe penetrations, drains, scuppers, gutters, eaves, embedded parts, equipment foundations, construction joints, and expansion joints. 
5. Mix the coating thoroughly. Select appropriate high-quality tools (rollers, stiff-bristle brushes, trowels) based on the application area and location. 
6. Apply coating first to prepared details (corners, pipe penetrations, etc.) before coating large, flat areas. 
7. Apply multiple thin coats using the cross-brushing method. Apply approximately 0.5~1.0 kg/m² per coat, with each subsequent coat brushed perpendicular to the previous one. Ensure uniform coverage without misses or buildup. 
8. For areas requiring enhanced crack resistance (e.g., substrates prone to cracking, critical details) or as specified, embed reinforcing fabric (polyester or fiberglass mesh) into the wet first or second coat. Press firmly with a brush or trowel to remove air bubbles, ensuring full saturation and avoiding wrinkles, voids, or edges lifting. 
9. Subsequent operations like ponding tests and protective layer application must wait at least 48~72 hours after the final coat for curing. Protect the coating from rain, frost, direct sun, and foot traffic during curing. 
10. After a successful ponding test, promptly apply a cement-sand protective layer (≥20mm thick) or install finish tiles to shield the waterproofing membrane from prolonged UV exposure and mechanical damage.
